They are open weekdays until 3pm. Open Saturdays in the evening. Give them a call for take out. They are very accommodating.
Saturdays require reservation for all, they need to know how many dinners to make.
The belly dancer comes out at the end of the meal, when tea and cookies are served.
We went to this place based on the good reviews, and we were not disappointed. It's a small family-run cafe with a view over to the Bay. You can see the USS Hornet from the window seats. There are some seats outside as well if the weather is good. The staff and owner are really nice and courteous. The food is very delicious (I had a Moroccan Kefta sandwhich which really is presented on a platter with salad) and comes in the right portions. We really loved the Moroccan-style Mint lemonade -- it's so refreshing. Apparently there are some belly-dancers on certain evenings though, but it was a good brunch for us. Very cheap as well.
Abigail and her daughter's make you feel you are invited to their home, and the home cooked Moroccan food reinforces that feeling. The place is small (about 6 tables?) and not exotically decorated but it is pleasant, warm and makes you feel welcome. The food is wonderful and authentic. Abigail and her daughter's serve you themselves and seem genuinely interested in your reaction. I understand that one weekend evenings there is belly-dancing by one of the daughter's but I didn't see it.
Delicious food. Had the Moroccan salad with kefta, and it and the hummus included had such lovely lemon. ENjoyed the roasted red peppers and beets, too. The salad comes on an impressive platter, but you know it's all going to fall off. LOL.
Yummy food! Loved their eggplant.
awesome place to unwind. Food was good, my chicken were moist & tender. Appetizer was out of this world, super like it. Belly dancer was very interactive and very graceful n awesome dancer🤩
Good food in a somewhat remote location of Alameda. Gorgeous view of the city if you sit out front. The owner was very friendly (or I assumed he is the owner) and chatted with us for a while. I had rice & eggplant and a Moroccan mint tea. Prices were really reasonable too. I'd like to come back on Saturday night for when they serve lamb, have dancing, and let you BYOB with no corkage fee.
Good food Everytime I go here.
What a treat! Beautiful bay views, reasonable prices, fantastic exotic cuisine.
Tasty food. Limited menu but everything was very good.
Very good food! Home made and made with love!
Hidden gem! Fantastic food in an admittedly odd atmosphere, but with the best views you could ask for. Kefta and eggplant dishes both have wonderful flavor, pita was warm and obviously fresh. Would recommend for lunch especially, great see breeze and view of the Bay.
A little bit out of the way but good place to eat. Has a great view of the city.
Definitely a hidden gem on the island. We frequent for lunch and only recently went for dinner which was delicious. We all had the lamb which fell off the bone. Family owned and operated too.
This has been one of our favorite Alameda waterfront restaurants for years. Wonderful family restaurant with tasty, freshly prepared Mediterranean food. Beautiful views of SF!
Such a fun place for Saturday dinner with belly dancing!
Great lunch spot. Loved the hummus plate and chicken isabella sandwich.
A great little place tucked away on the back side of Alameda. A real hidden gem! Maybe I shouldn't be telling everyone about this... :)
Wonderful food and owners! I enjoy riding my bike here to enjoy a cup of Moroccan coffee, so unique and flavorful. The chicken is always cooked perfectly and the dishes are all spiced excellent! You can't beat the view in Alameda and it's usually very quiet. Support Abigail's, and treat yourself to some amazing food!
If you're looking for an extravagant elegant experience, with charming ambience and exotic decor, this is not the restaurant you're looking for. The food is pretty good, however there was no bastilla. Let me say that again: No bastilla! Very disappointing. No baklava either, for that matter. This was more like going to dinner at your Moroccan friend's aunt's house. Bring your own wine or beer, for example. The belly dancer was phenomenal! Sexy, beautiful, fun, incredibly talented.
Absolutely delicious food and very friendly owners. Don’t miss the belly dancing shows on Saturdays
Great location. Friendly service. Great food and entertainment. I enjoy it all around.
Really yummy Mediterranean food, the lamb shank special was delicious, rice sides and everything scrumptious. Who I'm assuming to be the owner came out and brought us complimentary mint lemonade
Good food, great service and wonderful belly dance.
It was outstanding right on the water great View and really good food for the whole family to enjoy
The atmosphere was kind of dead for lunch on a Saturday. The greek salad was ok, but the chicken was bland and didn't seem fresh. Cool water front location. You order at a counter, which wasn't the impression I got from the Yelp pictures and reviews. They also didn't have bathrooms in the restaurant.
This place had the best view and even better food! Every dish is seasoned perfectly, entire tongue palette heightened with each bite, and the cucumber, tomato salad is so refreshing! I absolutely love that it's owned and ran full time by the family. It feels like a real atmosphere to be alive. This is my favorite place to est in Alameda.
This is amazing place. Coming here is like coming to family, the food is amazing. The view from across the cafe is breathtaking 😍 definitely a special place.
Wonderful food, wonderful service, and wonderful view.
The food is amazing the place is quiet in a very nice area.
What I miss the most about living in Alameda is mouth-watering sandwiches at this wonderful authentic cafe. The owner suggested trying kebab sandwich with caramelized onions, which sounded a bit strange to me. But after trying it, it became my favorite. Also had a go with chicken and pesto sandwich. Owner and his wife are super friendly people.
Wonderful family-run gem right here in Alameda. Options are limited, but everything they serve is delicious and authentic. Will definitely be a regular!
Amazing food, service, and views!!! You're all sleeping on this place, is so good!
Great home cooked Moroccan food.
Just went here with my Mom and husband. We had an incredible time. The dinner was the best lamb I've EVER had. There was also belly dancing which was very interactive and fun. It's reservations only on Sat night but worth the wait.
